Compatible laptop sceens

could be what they call the inverter shutting down,it is behind your laptop screen.or your screen.

It might be that the LCD is defective. Try bringing it to a technician. If the other monitors work great then it has something to do with the hardware part of your computer.

If everything else is working, hook a spare monitor to the video output, if picture okay! the inverter board just below the screen is more than likely faulty, or the backlight behind the display has failed, but if both show the same symptom it is the video graphics card usually built into the motherboard, I suggest a computer repair shop to address.

It is one of two things, the video cable from the motherboard to the LCD screen might be loose and must be reseated back in position, or the worse scenario the display is bad and must be replaced with a new LCD screen.

There is a FUNCTION key on the keyboard, usually in blue and usually labeled . You will use this in conjuction with another key. Often laptop keyboards have a second "function" on them - indicated by a little blue colored letter, number or icon. The brightness button would be one that looked like a little o with lines coming out - kind of like a kid's drawing of a sun : )

To use the second function of the keys with the little blue letter, number or icon, you need to press and hold the Fn key and then tap the key you need - in this case the little sun. While continuing to hold down the Fn key, keep tapping the sun key until the brightness is as you like.


If you cannot brighten the screen with the above steps,and the LCD is faint, you may need to replace the Inverter.

Still using an external monitor because the screen on the laptop it out of services. Try to found the same screen on the internet an buy it. Remenber a new sceen is one of the most espensive part.

macer one already had a problem after I bought some one and a half years ago, we did a firm ware upgared as recommended by Acer and machine has been ok. I have just turned it on and the sceen is black

you will get the replacement but you have to pay there wil be no warrenty for lcd

when u power up the computer press F8 key then u see safe mode and other menu then enter in enable vga mode then change screen resolution to 1024*768

you need to call acer you have a bad lcd sceen. i juct di one the sceen was fault.
