Info you is usually stamped on equipment, if you found serial # it should have manf. date close by.

You can see their is no filter between the water valve and the fill tube.
You can add a external water filter in the water supply line if you want. Have you got any baking soda? Put a box in the freezer and see if that works.

if the unit is making this noise get the modelk number and go to the paarts house and et a start relay for the unit, that should repair the problem
