I have two of these units with remote located in one room. All of a sudden, both remotes work the same unit. How can I "reprogram" one of the remotes to control the other unit?

Replace receiver board or if you have a spare unit try to transfer the receiver board to the defective one and test the remote to confirm the unit problem.

This could be caused by a blown circuit breaker or fuse inside the unit, a damaged compressor or fan motor, faulty wires connecting the compressor or fans to the control board unit, a faulty or hung relay on the control board (this can sometimes be solved by tapping the relay with a screwdriver), or the starter capacitor for the compressor or fan motor.

If you look carefully at the remote there is a reset button, try resetting it and make sure you have new batteries.

My panasonic dvd recorder / remote control is not working On pressing button on remote I get dvd2 on recorder screen but no other response. I have tried reset without effect

Try reprogramming the remote itself; i.e. point remote at unit (while on), press and hold the [2] and [ENTER/OK] buttons together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. The remote's command should now match that of the unit (DVD 2) (the unit should now recognise the remote). Failing that, remove batteries from remote, replace with new ones (just in case) and repeat the above suggestion. You should not need to reset the main unit.

Whenever the batteries are replaced in Panasonic remotes, in some cases, a remote command reprogram is often required to ensure that the remote commands the unit fully and correctly. You may find this procedure outlined in your instruction manual. Hope this helps a tad.

Sounds like your receiver has quit working. To program the remotes do this: Press and hold the button on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Do this for each remote. If this doesn't work your logic board is bad.

Suddenly stopped working, green light on remote works, but no response from car. No locks, trunk, or start.

Could be many things, loose ground or power wire on the 561, there is an inline power fuse on the red wire leading to the control unit that may be blown. It may just need to have the remotes reprogrammed to the control unit, sometimes the control unit just stops recognizing the remotes. If you have recently had the cars battery replaced, or jump started the car, check the fuse at the control unit first.

Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

Sears Model 139.53985D - remotes suddenly do not work - can't reprogram them either. When activated or trying to reprogram the unit clicks but nothing starts. Any ideas?? Thanks

Make sure the batteries are good in your remotes. Next it might be your openers logic board. Get the numbers off the unit and look for a replacement on ebay as there are plenty of used good parts out there, heck even new ones if you want to spend the extra cash.

My remote suddenly does nothing

This may sound stupid but have you replaced the batteries in the remote? In either case if the remote is a universal remote (has different buttons usually across the top to select different devices) then the manual should give codes to reprogram it. If you cannot get it working with new batteries and reprogramming then the remote might have gone bad. If the remote does appear to be bad then I would just buy a new universal remote and program it for your equipment since they are not very expensive.

Volume and mute buttons suddenly stopped working

Try changing the batteries. Most times the "tivo" buttons will work but the "tv" buttons will stop working when the batteries are low.

If you have done that, go back into settings and program the remote again for your tv, then give it a shot.
