Try this and let me know if it works - plug the coffeemaker in, turn the function knob to BREW, and then press all 3 buttons in the center of the coffeemaker (the 1-4 button, et, etc) and hold them for a few seconds. Let me know if the clock display comes back on.
If not, call Cuisinart and see if it is in-warranty by serial number 1-800-726-0190.
This solution worked ... you have resurrected our coffee maker that was on the brink of going to the landfill! We already had one of these replaced by Cuisinart, but they wouldn't replace it this time because they claimed we were out of the warranty period of our original purchase even though this replacement was only 2 years old. Thank you and it would have been nice if Cuisinart would have suggested this solution.
