Yes, it can be done. Here are the steps to copy them over:

1. Turn on your camera
2. Press the button to view the pictures you have taken (the button that has the green sideways triangle with the green square around it).
3.Press the Menu/Ok button
4. Arrow down to "Copy"
5. Press the Menu/Ok button
6. To copy the photos from the internal memory to an SD card simply hit Menu/ok button again.
7. Arrow down to "All Frames" and then press Menu/Ok
8 It now asks you to confirm. To continue copying the pictures over, press Menu/Ok again.
9. It will now begin copying your pictures over.

There you go. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: How do I get my pics off the internal memory without a usb cord?

I had this problem. What I did to fix it was: I removed the removable memory card from the camera and put it into the dock in my computer. Open up "Computer", click on the drive and hit Delete. Problem solved. The removable memory card was somehow locked. Deleting it solved it for me. Hope this helps you.

Olympus problems

Brenda, Although I only have a little to go on, I'll give it a try.
(only brand, not model)
Olympus camera's do have an internal memory, but just for a limited amount of pictures. When your camera says Memory full, this internal memory is full. You can place a memory card, or free memory, by deleting pictures. But don't delete a picture before you are sure you saved the picture on the computer or some other media.
If you want a memory card, check what type of card goes into your camera. When you place a memory card in the camera it has to be formatted (check the manual) but NEVER format a memory card, when you have any pictures in the internal memory, because you could loose all the pictures in the internal memory too.

I took pictures on my camera without a memory card can i still download my pictures

I'm glad to provide the steps to transfer images from Internal Memory of the Camera. When the camera does not have a memory card in it, the images are saved by default to the camera's internal memory, which holds different amounts of images based on how many megapixels are built into the internal memory and what image quality and compression are selected in the camera's menu. Once a memory\picture card is inserted in the camera, the camera then saves the photos to the memory\picture card and ignores the internal memory.

There are two ways to transfer the images from the internal memory.

  • To transfer photos to a computer from the internal memory using the USB cable, first remove the memory card from the camera. Then, when the camera is connected, the computer and software will only see what is in the internal memory and transfer those photos or videos. During the transfer process, the computer makes copies of the photos and videos-the original images remain in the internal memory. After the transfer is complete and the camera is safely disconnected from the computer, the contents of the internal memory can be deleted by using the MEMORY FORMAT function in the SETUP menu in the camera's menus.

  • The other way to transfer photos from the internal memory is to transfer them to the memory\picture card using the BACKUP function in the SETUP menu. If there is no memory\picture card in the camera, the BACKUP function is grayed-out. During BACKUP, copies of the images are transferred to the memory\picture card-the original images remain in the internal memory. After the BACKUP is complete, the internal memory can be cleared by removing the memory\picture card and formatting the internal memory using the MEMORY FORMAT function in the SETUP menu in the camera's menus.

Note: When the camera is connected to a computer using the USB cable with a memory\picture card in the memory\picture card slot, the computer will only see the contents of the memory\picture card.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any additional help.

My Fujifilm s5000 camera turns on but when I go to take a picture it turns off. I can view my pictures but can't take any.

Your memory card or internal memory may be full. I've run into situations where the card full doesn't flash on the monitor or LCD screen because there is lets say 3 gigs of memory left but the picture you are taking is 3.5gig's it won't take the picture because there isn't enough memory to put the image anywhere. Download your pictures to your computer, format your memory card and all should be good again. If you are using the internal memory you will need to obtain (buy) a memory card for your camera and download from the internal memory each picture from the memory card one by one until all the internal pictures are on the removable memory card then download these to the computer. After you have them on the computer go back into the internal memory and delete each of thse pictures and you are ready to start taking pictures once again. it took me longer to type this then the process will take to do.

You can add memory to your camera by purchasing an xd memory card.
Compatible cards
xD-Picture Card (16MB – 1GB)
There are two ways to record the pictures you take with this camera.
Recording pictures to the internal memory
• Pictures are recorded to the internal memory, and when the number of storable still
pictures reaches 0, you must connect the camera to a computer to download the
pictures, and then erase the pictures from the internal memory.
Using an xD-Picture Card (optional)
• Pictures are recorded to the card when inserted in the camera. When the card is
full, you download the pictures to a computer, and then either erase the pictures
from the card or use a new card.
• Pictures are not recorded to the internal memory when a card is inserted in the
camera. Pictures in the internal memory can be copied to the card using the
[BACKUP] function.

Saved images to the internal memory or to the optional xD-Picture Card

The internal memory and the xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory, remove the xD Picture Card. The LCD display will indicate that images are saved to internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the camera’s LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner of the screen. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.
