sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )
please check the fuse in the plug it should be13 amp it has no doubt blown after replacing it and happens again there might be a problem with the heating element it might be faulty or ruptured due to short circuit in the element eric
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to check your water inlet valve and make sure it is not defective. Check your water pump and make sure it is working right. The pump pumps the water into the washer.
I have a Hoover Nextra washer/dryer machine. It has been working
fine but 2 days ago it stopped taking water into the drum. When I put
the machine on, I can hear water running into it and the water does go
into the powder compartment and clears that. However, only a tiny bit
of water is getting into the drum of the machine.
In case it is relevant, there is only one hose at the back, not 2
hoses like some machines have. I don't think it can be water pressure
as it has always worked before.
I hope someone can maybe give an idea as to how to fix it as I have
toddlers and need it fixed asap. Is there anyway we could fix it rather
than have to call out a service engineer. If there is something we can
try can you answer in simple language as we don't know much about
washing machines.

Empty your machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl or bucket. Then remove the kick plate and check the filter for blockages.Before replacing try the machine on drain to see if the pump is running, if problem persists there may be a blockage in the pipe from the drum to the pump.
I had a problem and when they took the back off. Underwire bra had got jammed through drum holes which stopped it spinning and water issues. I hope this might help.
