Dvr was packed away for 2 years after working fine for a year. Upon re-set-up of system, the dvr hard drive will show a playback date of month 15, day 35 and year 2058 - and not play anything. Despite the setup having the correct current date entered and showing on the monitor as recording is appearing to take place. Upon stop record and begin playback it goes into the wacky 2058 thing and plays nothing at all. Is the entire dvr hard drive fried? I've tried multiple system resets to default, power down resets, etc - and the same problem repeats. Any idea how to get it back to actually recording AND acknowledging the date as correct?
The issue may be is that you have a DVD in your dvr , that still shoes that date and time. Just a possibility, not sure,. try to see if you can take DVD out of dvr, and use a new one. I happened to me but, the case was a vcr,and I had a recorded video tape which while playing , was showing a blue screen, with "no data received" which actually it was when no data vcr was receiving from cable at the time it was recording . If the problem still is not solved then there is issue with some circuits, and processors. Also you may want to check if Bunker Hill has any customer support, to check with them.
