Sounds like main board fault. Contact the authorized service center for Samsung. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

Samsung LN32B360C5D Repair

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Check the voltage that comes to the back-light inverter board; from the main power board. The absence of this voltage too can be the cause.

I have a Samsung 360 series 3. LN32B360C5D model. purchased Dec 2009. will not turn on. no light or sound. tried everything and will not work

Attempting to do service opening the back cover is not advisable, since there are hazardous voltages present even when the power cord is not plugged in. It is better to refer it to a qualified service technician.

S/N AZA43CRSA16199J MODEL LN32B360C5D BUY IN 2009 POWER GET OFF SCREEN GET BLACK NO SOUND

Thanks for stopping by.

Typically, for the symptoms you have described - the power supply board likely has failed capacitor(s). If you were to remove the back of the set - you'd probably notice the power capacitors leaking or bulging.

For your Samsung LN32B360C5D CLICK HERE to see your board/replacement.

The big yellow capacitor in the middle is the likely culprit.
While you have it open - check the fuse near the power plug as well.

This is not something that will correct with a reset or button press - it will require repair.
If you have it to a repair shop - expect a $75 component repair charge. If the board cannot be repaired - the board itself is $89-$135 plus 1 hour shop labor to replace.

Thanks!!

I just upgraded my LN32B360C5D firmware to 1016.1,

If you weren't having problems, you shouldn't have updated. Samsung on their site says DO NOT UPDATE if you are not having problems... don't fix what isn't broken, now live with your mistake.
