Here's the problem I have with the information you have been given....In
the CRT projection sets the 9 blinks was a VERY common problem with the
g board and the diodes that you have listed so every time a tech hears 9
blink they assume that the g board is bad without even looking at the
model number, but had the tech that posted that information paid
attention to the fact that you have a LCD projection set they might have
though differently.
The 9 blink error code in your model
denotes a fan error, the micro spitting that code out is not even
looking at a 0 detect circuit like the crt sets that used to have the 9
blinks for a faulty 0 detect circuit which replacing those diodes
normally fixes. Furthermore your model does not even have a D6116 so
that pretty much throws that information down the drain.
Now
as for your set with the 9 blinks, I have seen a couple of things cause
this, first is any fan in the set and second is the optical block
assembly.
Now the easiest way to test for this is to open
the set up and see if all the fans are spinning, if one is not then we
automatically know that is your problem and it needs to be replaced.
If you decide to have this
repaired professionally, this repair normally runs $200-$350 if it is a
fan and over $1000 if the optical engine is found to be the problem.
About the only thing I can suggest doing yourself is taking a look through the back of the unit and making sure all the fans are clean of dust/hair etc, and are spinning. This would cause the error as well.
Hi,
9 blink refers to :-
Nine blinks - Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G"
board, do not resolder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel
Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning
sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change
the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Make
sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive)
Thanks for using "Fixya".
Hi,
Well, i can offer you link to purchase cost effective Manuals, but it would cost you certain bucks and this is tech's work :(.
If you are not sure, call a tech,
I know it's hard, but while correcting, i don't want you to damage some other stuff on this monster.
Hope i helped.
Thanks for using 'Fixya'.

Sounds great. But I have absolutely no technical/electrical knowledge :(
Can i get a tech manual and do this alone or should I call a professional?
