My Emerson TV is constantly switching between set up functions, HDMI1 and HDMI2 Screens. My remote is not allowing me to set it, nor is the set up button on the side of the television. Its out of control. I can view any shows because its constantly switching and changing settings on its own.
Remove the connector that goes to the remote board and see if it stays then, if it does that board needs replacing, its not an expensive board, if it still changes on its own then its the main board that is bad, that one is much more money.

I got the same TV for my stepdaughter and had the same problem. None of the Emerson codes worked. We use Dish Network but I did the autoscan thing on the remote and found that it was 672 which is listed as a Sylvania. I don't know if it will help in your case but maybe try the Sylvania codes.
