Tne washing machine was leaking water into the drum area over a period of days when the machine was off.I suspect that the inlet water valve is not working correctly. I removed the back panel and plugged the machine in to run the remaining water out of the machine. I set the machine on Drain/Spin cycle and started it,it ran for about 5 seconds then shut off and locked up. How do I unlock the machine?

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

This is a common problem, you can run a few cups of vinager or bleach in a empty load set to hot wash and this will help. To keep it from coming back when your done doing wash wipe the door gasket down with a rag dampened with bleach and never shut the door all the way. Good Luck

When you removed that clog after the pump you should have gotten very very wet if that was the only clog.
You will have to bail the water out of the tub or pull it out with a shop vac,and even then when you remove the other side of the hose on the pump you'll get a couple gallons of water coming at you, throw some towels over the motor control on the right front corner so it doesn't get wet and have more ready for the gush of water coming out.
Throw rugs were notorious for clogging these hoses up also check the out going hose from the pump to the drain,if you have the heavy rubber hose run something through it to make sure it is cleared out.
and if it was throw rugs your going to want to fill it and drain it several times when you get it draining again to make sure it is all cleared out of the machine,if it drains into a standpipe be careful it doesn't clog your pipes that stuff is like cement.
