May be problem with cartridge or scanner shatar......
SOURCE: no printing or copying all of a sudden
It can be one of the following:
Defective laser shutter
EP Cartridge Support missing or damaged
Toner cartridge
Transfer roller voltage
Developing bias charge
Drum ground path
Laser scanning cable assembly
So I would try from checking toner. If it wont help it can be one of the reasons above
Most probably the laser shutter isn't opening, due to some parts
getting out of position. So removing covers off, inserting
and removing the cartridge a few times can tell you what should be moving and what isn't moving any more.

if the print is also smudged the fuser needs replacing

Press cancel and then retry that job. If it still fails, try to print something else. If that job works then you are going to have to print the other job on a different printer. It is sucking up too much memory.
