I have a Kenmore Heavy Duty Plus washing machine that will not drain. Motor runs, I have checked the exterior hose and it is clear. When I disconnected the drain line the remainder of the water emptied from the tub. The model number long with the back plate is also missing. Belt looks good and can be hand turned.

hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.
Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective
If drain hose is connected to a standpipe check that it's inserted no more than 4". You may be getting a syphoning situation that is allowing gray water to contaminate clean clothes.
How could the belt be in working order if the drum doesn't spin? Check to see if the belt has come off the motor. If the motor runs but your dryer doesn't spin, the belt is off. If the motor runs with the belt on but it still won't spin then you'll have a lot of black smoke because your drum is jammed. In other words, there are a number of things that could be wrong, but not very many.
Either your timing motor has broken or the gears that it drives are stripped. The timing motor is easy to replace but if the gears are stripped you will need a whole new dial assembly.
The electric motor my have failed or a part called a capacitor could be the problem?
The capacitor is part of the starting circuit of the electric motor, if this fails the motor will not start therefore the washing machine won't spin or agitate.
this is the site to find out how to fix your washer. you have a broken drive coupling. it probably wont agitate or spin, but will fill and drain. you need to remove 2 screws from the control panel, hinge it back and then remove the 2 brass colored clips that hold the cabinet to the base. once you do then pull the entire cabinet forwards to a 45 degree angle and pull it off the base. then pull the 2 clips off pump and then 2 more on the motor. that will allow you to get to the drive coupling. you will find it to be broken. replace it with part number 285753a for about 15-20 bucks.
