SOURCE: reset bios password

If you are not afraid to open the box, the simple fix would be to remove the cpu battery(looks like a quarter) for about 30 seconds and replace, then boot up. At that point it will ask for information such as date and time, but then you can access the bios

SOURCE: Dell D505 BIOS Reset

Generally, all you need to do is get on to Dell Support and get in a chat with one of their people and tell them that you are locked out by a BIOS password, and needed to get around it. After they verify that you are the owner of the laptop, they should give you a password that gets you through it.

SOURCE: dell studio 1737 laptoplost BIOS password called

BIOS password is NOT able to be Cleared by taking battery out, is stored in NVR. Is impossible to hack, crack, unless get special DELL code. Must contact DELL. provide proof of ownership, a receipt etc, then they will send you special code to enter. OR look for pay For site on internet.

SOURCE: reset bios/cmos password

on the bottom of the vostro 1510 there is a large panel that covers the hard drive, wifi card, and cmos battery connector. remove the cover unplug the red and black wire connector and remove the battery. also make sure the system is unplugged from power. i waited about 5 mins and pushed and held the power button for about a min. after that plug the main battery in and test to see if your password has been removed

My dell desktop asking for a password

If you want to create a new Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) password on a Dell Optiplex 745, reset the password. Resetting the password also applies if you want to remove an existing BIOS password. BIOS passwords are used to add an additional level of security to your machine. Without the correct BIOS password, your Dell Optiplex 745 will not complete the boot process. The password can be reset whether you know your current password or not.

Turn off your Dell Optiplex 745. Start the computer. Press "F2" the moment the Dell logo appears on the screen. You will only have two to three seconds to press the key. Enter your BIOS password. Navigate to the "Exit" screen. Select the "BIOS Password" setting. Enter your BIOS password and a new password if desired. Do not enter anything in the "New Password" box if you want to remove the BIOS password completely. Press "Enter" to save your password settings. Reset Forgotten Passwords Turn off your Dell Optiplex 745 and remove the power cord from the computer. Disconnect any external hardware and cables. Slide the release latch located on the back of your Optiplex 745. Lift the cover as you slide the latch. Hold the cover firmly and pivot it back on the hinges. Remove the cover from the hinges. Find the "PSWD" jumper on the motherboard. This is a two-pin jumper and should be clearly labeled. Use a flashlight and magnifying glass if you have trouble locating it. Remove the jumper from the motherboard. Replace the cover and slide it into place until the latch snaps into place. Reconnect the power cable and restart your computer. Shut down the computer after it has completely restarted. Disconnect all cables and remove the cover again. Replace the PSWD jumper. Replace the cover. Reconnect all cables and restart your computer.

I want to knw my dell inspiron 2500 bios password

If its yours, I believe there is a way to call Dell and after security verifications, they might be able to walk you through a back door.

The other possibility, is to remove the battery from the main board which involves taking the whole unit apart.

thanks

I need to reset the password for the bios.

If you have a bios level password enabled and do not know the password, then you will have to contact Dell Technical Support to get a MASTER PASSWORD to disable it. There is no hardware path on a Dell portable (Aside from replacing the motherboard) to get around the password. To resolve:
  1. Contact Dell Tech Support2.gif (800-624-9896 USA)
  2. Validate that you are an authorized user of the system
  3. Once done, TS will generate a master password for you.

In my dell desktop optiplex 330 hard disk is locked by a password and how to Break it.

Is it a BIOS password or a HDD password? If it's sewt in BIOS, you could try to reset the BIOS to factory default (which should remove any BIOS passwords) If however it is a HDD password, it is a bit different.. you may need to restore your sytem (low level, high level formats, then reload your OS sorry but you likely lose all your data..What OS do you use? there are programs that can possibly give you a boot cd depending on whether your system is fat32 or NT.. NT is more complicated because fat32 will not read NT BUT NT will read fat32.. IF you have the ability to restore your OS then first try to do a complete restore with backup.. that way you may be able to save most of your datafiles.. if you have never accessesd the pc then just try a destructive system restore (will low-level, then high-level format the HDD and reinstall your software without any SW passwords..
First thing I would try is to get into the BIOS and unset any passwords there.. If you need more help you can try to contact me [email protected] with more information
