How to silence key pad tone on A392G - Alcatel Lands Phones

go to tones setting on phone setting to disable

Key pads are for buttons, not dial tone.
When a call is complete it should be silence.
If you want tone then press Intercom or a Line or an Access code.

Its quite simple. Just go to your phones tone settings and silent the keypad tone. This will silent the key tone.

I have one to had the same problem. Just found out to hold the # key on the bottom right of your key pad.

Go to tone settings in the Menu Click on keyboard tones Put it on silence mode if stated OR bring the volume Level to zero

Menu - Settings - Audio & Ringtones - Volume - Key Tone and push the down on the dpad until it says Off.

Or (same path): Menu-9-1-3-4 then Down

I called GE directly and they said there was no option to silence the key pad on this phone. (I think I'll return it).

Go to settings, then tone settings,then keypad tones and bring the keypad tones to zero or off whatever is possible

Luckily for your housemates, there is a way for you to silence the keypad.

You'll need to go to your "Settings" Menu
Select Ring Styles, then go to ringer "detail"
If you scroll all the way down, you should be able to see "Key Volume".
Set that to "0".

Similarly, you can choose the "Silent" or "Vibrate" ringer option and that will temporarily silence your Keypad Tones.
