Is your remote control possibly bad? Is it set to other than TV mode? Batteries? Nothing to do with lamp, but TV must turn all the way on for remote to operate anything besides power on/off. --Remote is a function of TV microprocessor.
I don't think it's the remote. I was using a universal remote that comes with a Directv DVR, and when it no longer responded to that, i tried the TV remote, and that didn't work either. Is a microprocessor fix expensive? Between that and a bulb, I might be better off getting a new TV.
Likely the TV is not turning all the way on and something is faulty. This would not be a lamp bad. You can try the reset button behind front button door, if it has that. Or unplug TV for one whole minute, and try again. Else repair shop.

First make sure your hdmi cable is connected from the PS3 to the TV. Then go to netcommand, review, and make sure "monlink" is checked, click next, and finish. Select "monlink" from your device manager and turn on your PS3. If the screen is blue, go to the next step. Connect the PS3 via regular a/v cables to the front panel "input-3". Create a net-command device for input-3 as well. Switch to the input-3 device you created and turn on your PS3. Choose display settings, and change the settings to HDMI. Then click change. You'll have 30 seconds to hit device manager, change the device to "monlink", and let the PS3 unit know the setting has worked. From there you can configure. Good luck!

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62527 replacement lamp install and brightness low
as i previously posted, my picture was dim, muddy looking after replacing lamp with osram lamp. i fixed mine by taking the screen off and cleaning the small mirror. it had a thick layer of dust on it, cleaned with a microfiber cloth. no water, no glass cleaners. i also used a very fine new small paint brush and dusted the projector lens which also had a dust film. brightness, contrast and clarity returned!
SOURCE: Mitsubishi WS65809 HD input (DTV) not working
All these sets do have a hard reset---not the reset button on the front of the set---it will return the set to the factory original condition it was when new in the box--it will not affect the convergence as that is stored in a separate unit--the DCU (digital convergence unit).
It is accessed with an original MITSUBISHI remote.
You can try it if you want:
ACCESS CODE FOR WS65809 IS:
menu-0,1,7,0 enter
There are 3 hidden menus in the set--this is the Option menu
You will see either reset or option etc and highlight it with the remote and hit enter. Set will shut off and should come back on channel three in the air band--any labels you placed on inputs will be gone and set will be in air band--you will if on cable have to change it to cable band and auto program etc.
Let me know what happens and if you have questions I am here to help.
