Hi, i have a ASUS A6R series and i deleted my webcam by mistake, i dont know how to get it back and what kind it was. is there any possible way to get it back. any information would be helpfull.

Hello nikki_silver,
The best thing to do in this situation is a System Restore.

To perform a "System Restore.
" Follow these instructions carefully, and you will have no problem at all.
The first thing you want to do is click on the "Start Button,paul7of9_50.jpg" from the Desktop.
Next, click on "All Programs," scroll to find "Accessories," next select the "System Tools.
" You will see in the next window that open, "System Restore!

paul7of9_51.jpg

"Now this is very important!
Once you click on the System Restore "shortcut" it will start to look for the last known time of a change in your computer.
The System restore can take as long as a 1/2 an hour to run, so be patient.
"Do not try to do any type of work, don't even touch the keyboard for any reason,
just let it run!"
Once the System Restore finds the correct "Date and Time"of the event;
choose the Date closest to the time of the occurrence.

In your case it will be the deletion of the "Webcam."

Now once again, there will be a message telling you not to do anything with the computer,
and please don't.
The System Restore will "run" for a while, so once again be patient.

The computer will then "Shutdown and Restart."
Lo-gin if you have to; but!
Do not touch the Keyboard once the Desktop window open, because System Restore is still running.
Wait! Until there is a message letting you know the Restore of your System was successful!

Take your time.
"I hope all goes well, please let me know if you need further assistant.
Best Regards.
Thanks for using Fix'Ya."

Accidentally deleted

Hello,

Do system restore to restore acer crystal eye webcam. Restore it to the date when it was still working in your computer. System restore won't delete any files that you have saved in the computer but it will affect the software. It will restore it to a certain date.

Here's what you are going to do:

1. If you are using windows 7, go to the search. Type system restore. (You can find system restore by going to start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore)

2. Select a restore point. There are dates which are listed in a box. Select the date which you think was the time when the webcam was still there.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions. The computer will restart by itself, just wait for it until it says that the restoration is complete. If it fails, do it again by using a different restore point.

Please let me know if this doesn't fix the problem by posting in this thread so that I can give you some other options for this problem.

Thank you for using fixya.

I accedentally delete my acer webcam on my laptop

No worries. You can go to your computer manufacturer website and then download the drivers.
If you mention your computer model number this will be easy for us to let give you exact link to download drivers for your webcam.

if this not help then you can try system restore. The time when it was working you can restore your computer for that time.

how to open system restore for that follow these steps:-

start>>all programs>>accessories>>system tools>>system restore>click next>>now choose the date when it was working fine >>click next and next and it will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

finally your desktop screen will come back and you will have your webcam drivers.

cheers!

try this it sometimes works. 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER) 2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC708002BE2092F} Write down the upper & lower filter valuse. Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value (it's safe, and if could be restored later on if you have written it down, so don't worry)

When I turn on my built in webcam, it works for a

probably this might cause by a conflicting windows update. i would suggest try to do a system restore first, restore it to the time when the webcam was working fine. after system restore if it works then i want you to disable the windows update from control panel. if this fails then proceed to uninstalling and resintalling the webcam driver.
