Main board issue.

l think you mean no picture except for the display for color and sound--If menu comes up also that means the OSD is ok.


Video problem in that case and almost certain the main board is the reason.

If the screen has gone off but the sound still works then its most likely the inverter has gone bad. Check for open fuses or leaking and expanded capacitors.

Seems you set it to "Stereo Direct" mode. This is an analog only mode, while you are using a digital signal. You can change this with the mode button.
Press menu, on the main menu screen 1, scroll down to stereo direct. Turn this OFF.
This should solve your issue!

It sounds like your monitor just went bad. The reason you can still hear sound is because there is nothing wrong with your sound card. You can try connecting the monitor to another computer to see if it works. If it does not, then the monitor has died.

I also had this UNLOCK message on my Harman Cardon AVR 130.
The reason for this error was - in a hurry I've plugged the optical input into optical OUT! Double check that your connections in the back are correct and hopefully it fixes your problem.

check for a resistor rated around 220kohms somewhere around the flyback area. i have never worked on this model tv before so i cant give you an exact part number on the board but had the same problem with sharp tvs

EC means euro connector, I.E. Scart socket. For some reason there is no video signal coming out of the scart cable/out of the VCR or being displayed on the TV. Try plugging the scart plug into a different scart socket and see if that helps.
