Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# FWS833A, will not stop filling. I see that you shut the machine off and the water runs onto the floor. I suggest shutting the water off at the inlet. From there I would contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why the water will not stop filling your washer. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: Washer won't stop filling

The mixing valve that is part of the connector where the hose is attached has either failed or is disconnected electrically.

These are simple to replace and not too expensive.

You may have gotten some debris into the valve assembly which is being held open and is a sealed device.
If this is the case, it will probably not be removable since the valve is trying to close and will only open if voltage is applied.

SOURCE: My washer machine is filling up with water but will not stop

hi..the problem may be due to two reasons.
one is your washing machine will not be fully
automatic,it may be semi-automatic.In that case
the water will not stop automatically after reaching
its capacity.other problem may be there will be some
short in the wire in an fully automatic machine which
could have lead to this problem.
check it out.
thank u.. rate me..

SOURCE: water running out

Is it from the water valve assembly or coming from under the machine? if it's from under the machine you may have a bad fill hose or a bad tub gasket, But I need some more info to help you.

Hello Brandy Neal - Often a leak coming from underneath the washer would indicate a leak possibly in the hoses or in the tub. If the hoses are securely tighten then at this point I personally recommend consulting with a certified technician to narrow down the precise issue.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer will not fill with water?

LF is a long fill the machine control has not detected a change in the contact of the pressure switch which controls water fill and stop you didn't mention top load or front load, on a top load or front make sure you have water going to machine if you have flood safe hoses to machine replace then with regular washing machine hose the design of these hose will stop water flow, crazy as this may sound make sure the drain hose has not fallen onto the floor water fills and runs right back out, as a tech I have not had a pressure switch go bad usually on a front load the clip that holds the black hose in place pops loose allowing the hose to rub against the rotor which turns and rub a hose in it sorry to be long winded two simple checks make sure you have water to machine and that the black hose from the pressure switch to the tub does not have a hole in it

    Washer won't stop filling

Does the water stop filling if machine is unplugged? If yes, bad water valve inside washer.

If water stops when unplugged, may be a faulty pressure switch or airdome hose came loose from switch - located in control panel - water level switch.

If water keeps filling and never overflows onto floor - likely that water is siphoning out drain hose. Raise drain hose higher or allow an air break at the drain hose exit.

Admiral Top Load Washer Model LNC6762B71 overflowed

Remove the control console cover. Find the water level switch.
It has a small tube attached to it.
Remove the tube and blow air through it. It is probably stopped up. Reattach it to the water level switch.
Look over the length of the tube and may sure it is not pinched.
Set the washer to spin and run spin for about 1 minute.
Then run water on a lower level and see if it shuts off.
If not replace the water level switch.

When washer is in super wash cycle water will not stop causingthe tub to over fill running onto the floor.

It sounds like you are trying to use the largest water level setting. If this is correct you may have a pressure switch problem.

First turn the timer to spin and get all of the water out, that start a washer cycle with the water level set to the small or low setting and see if the washer fills to this level. if it stops at the low level great Now if it continues to fill and does stop you may need a pressure switch or the hose needs to be replaced that runs from the tub to the pressure switch.

Now set at the medium level and try again. does it stop or over fill?

If it over fills you probably need a pressure switch however before you purchase this, make sure the hose is in good condition one pin hole will cause your overfill condition.
