I presume you mean the radio/cd cuts out and not the engine. I also presume you are not letting the bike idle away as you listen to music! If you are, then the bike is over heating and piston seizure is the causing it to stop. Now, if it is just the radio/cd unit cutting out, the radio/cd unit has developed a thermal fault that requires specialist attention. Nothing you can do.

SOURCE: replace rear brake pads

Remove right saddlebag, pull the two caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper. Do not open bleeder or disconnect line. You will need to push a large screwdriver between the old pads before removing them in order to push the pucks back into the caliper or the new pads will not spread enough to reinstall. Then pull the two smaller bolts from the caliper and the pads will fall out. The pads are different for inside and outside, so pay attention, and remember, after reinstalling, before riding, be sure to pump brake pedal, and it may take a few stops before brakes stop as effectively as before.

SOURCE: How do I change the front and rear brakes on a

Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.

SOURCE: no oil pressure for my 2005 Harley-Davidson Ultra

camplate check valve sticking, good time for an upgrade SEcamplate, hydraulic camchain tensioners, high volume oil pump, comes as complete kit for about $420. add another $150 for adjustable pushrods and never worry about it again,or replace the existing component youd save maybe $180 bucks but youll be back
thats why they changed the camplate and tensioners in 07, I just did the complete conversion on an 02 heritage it costed with labor about 1100 in your case your looking at 7 to 800 dollars just to get you going for another 30 or 40,000 miles or less and then do it again Im for a 1 time fix myself

To adjust the clutch, first find the clutch cable adjuster. It should be somewhere along the downtube of the frame in front of the engine. Slide the rubber bellows cover either up or down to expose the adjuster. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster inwards shortening the cable as much as possible.

Remove the Derby cover from the primary cover. In the middle of the clutch assembly is an adjuster bolt and a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjust inwards until you feel a resistance. Don't not force the adjuster, go inwards until you feel the resistance of the throwout bearing on the other side. Try it a couple of times until you get the feel of it. Go inwards until you feel the resistance and then come back out 1/2 to 1 full turn. Lock the lock nut down and replace the derby cover.

Then go back to the cable aduster and and adjust the cable adjuster out until you have about an 1/8" freeplay at the lever. Lock that lock nut down and reposition the bellows cover.

SOURCE: I need to know where the oil drain plug is on a

The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. Look under the transmission and you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the front left corner is the engine oil drain. The one closest to the center is the transmission drain.

2004 Harley-Davidson FLHTC/I Electra Glide Classic. Is there somewhere I can find a free wiring diagram for rear lights. Had a burnt blinker module to replace.

Question edited for a lot more clarity, full 'year make model'.
Question moved to model category.

Harley Davidson has a beautiful wiring manual, but they only show 2 pages!

This is partial diagrams. The HD Forums are great.

Motor cutting out

Without getting too specific, there is/was a recall on this exact problem. The bike would just cut off... completely shut down, no power even if you were flying down the highway at 70 mph. Check recall list with HD for more info.

2001 electra glide classic rear shock length

Harley usually uses a 12.5" shock but that could change from model to model and they don't list "shock length" in their specs. The best thing you could do it go to a dealer or find someone that has a stock bike and measure the front end height and rear shock length. Sorry but that's all I got.

My bike quit while riding home the other day.

start of breaking down of HT coil, if breaksdown while warm, leave for a while and start back up, it's HT coil, sounds like you should just carry on and see if it gets worse, then you'll know. unusual for a sudden complete breakdown so you shouldn't be stranded.
