How do I change the touchpad settings on my Panasonic Toughbook

According to the following site, your Toughbook has a microphone jack but no built in microphone.

Your touchscreen is defective. Please contact Panasonic official service center http://heartlandsi.com to arrange a repair. It's covered under warranty.

Most pc's use a program named symnaptics touch pad. Go to the control panel, select the mouse tab then mouse properties and device settings (select disable). Here you can disable the touch pad. I would recommend you have a usb mouse up and running prior to doing this procedure (saves tons of headache).

on the front of the toughbook there are 4 small buttons, the 3rd from the left which has a right angle symbol with a double headed arrow in it rotates the screen 90 degrees each time you press it. this is probably how you got it like that in the first place.

I solved this on a toughbook. The numlock was activating while windows started even with the regkey set to have it off.

All I had to do was restarting the PC waiting for windows to activate the numlock again during the shutdown process and then hitting the numlock once before windows was done.

Next time the Toughbook started the Numlock kept off!
