I found the following solution ONLINE about a year ago, so I'm copying and pasting what worked very well for me. You'll have to use your "gray matter", but it WILL solve your problem:
On this model if you push the water dispenser in for over 2 minutes without letting go, the control board locks out and you have to re-program the control board. Lets see if we can re-program the control board. Read these instructions before you start and the fridge must be plugged in to reboot. Press and hold the door alarm keypad Press and hold the freezer temp down pad Release the door alarm pad Wait 3 seconds then release the freezer down keypad The control should display PE to indicate you are in the programming mode. Entry is confirmed by pressing the freezer temp down pad once more. The control should display the current code. Your code is on the serial # XXXXX. Should be 0302. NOTE! If the correct code is not displayed the you will have to change the code. If the correct code is displayed , simply open the refrigerator door and the control will reboot. If the correct code is not displayed do the following: Press the refrigerator temperature up pad or the refrigerator down temp pad to change the digit value. The decimal point indicates the selected digit. Press the freezer temperature up pad to select the next digit. Once the desired program code is displayed press and hold the freezer temp down pad until the program code begins to flash. Then just wait and everything should reset. You have 3 minutes to do this reprogram or the unit will shut you out and you will need to start over! Now if that doesn't get your control board working again---the relay control board on the back is just shorted and unfortunately will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. Please Don't Forget the deposit you placed to ask the question is not used to compensate me until you rate my service! Please Remember that when you are asked to give a rating, you are rating My Service and not this website itself or the problem of your appliance.
The code onb my refrigerator shows 1515, and also on the inside of refrigerator it shows code 1515. Should I do something different?
nope, that's good. So once you have entered the code then you just need to wait for the code to be accepted. Once the desired Program CODE is entered, press and hold the Freezer Temperature Down Keypad until the Program CODE begins flashing indicating it has been saved.
I pray you will succeed with this also since it save me a service call fee and Lord only knows what else !
First I would check your water filter. They are supposed to be changed every 6 months. That fixes most of these issues. If that doesn't solve the problem, make sure you didn't recently move the fridge and create a kink in the water line. If that was not the issue, then try placing your fingers in the ice tray, if it feels warm, it could be your ice maker heater control went bad. Need to replace your ice maker. However, if its both the water dispenser and ice... its not this! Finally, your freezer will stop making ice if you leave your fridge doors open all the time like my father in law. If the fridge is not up to temp, ie: cold enough, it will not make ice! These are some of the things to look for!
This appears to be the door switch is either bad or disconnected and has triggered an alarm mode to the display. If the unit is cooling ok then you should remove and check the switch with a meter.

there is no program, replace the board.
SOURCE: Maytag refrig (french door) water and ice on door stopped.
1) Electric Water valve check up.
2) Water/Ice dispenser control check up
3) frozen plastic pipe inside door or/and chilled water container frozen
4) old water filter (clogged)
I need you to double check the model number. Maytag has a service library at this link. http://www.servicematters.com/maytag_library/html/index.html
By placing the first 3 letters in the search feature it will take you to models like yours. Chose the correct model that you have and enter the number in the search. I believe that the water control valve on back of your refrigerator is the problem. Maytag is very good about helping their customers. Let me know if you have problems gettting the information you need, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in
it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let
it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
Testimonial: "Good trouble shooting tips...will give them a try and see how they go, THANKS!"
SOURCE: Ice & water dispenser stopped working, lights are flashing
I had to pull the J3 connector off of the control module located just behind the dispenser panel. That eliminated the cycling and the flashing lights. Maytag guy came out and told me there is a control board located on the back of the refrigerator. Circuit board cost is $180 and installation labor another $300. I think because the refrigerator and freezer are still functional I will not repair this problem at this time.
