Why my sim card is showing emergency call only

All cellphones can dial the emergancy number (911 in North America) when they are locked, or do not have a service provider selected or enabled. For some reason you are locked out of your SIM card, or your SIM card is not functional

This happens when no sim-card is inserted or your carrier's network is not available. Try to check the sim-card contacts or put it into another phone and see whether it works there. If the sim-card is defective you generally can exchange it for free in the nearest office of your wireless-carrier.
When the phone says "emergency calls only" it means that the phone has found a network, but it can not register in it due to the problems described above. For emergency calls network registration is not required, it is made for so you could call 911 even without any sim-card installed.

It seems your SIM is not fit properly in phone. Otherwise your SIM card is broken. Please double check those things.

this message shows up when the sim card is locked... insert some other sim card and try calling.. if u can call successfully.. then u should solve the sim card problemss

Check the SIM pins if they are all elevated at the same height as to make contact with the sim card. Adjust it slightly and you should be all right.

This phone is a POS.  Sounds like it can't read the SIM card, and therefore only 911 calls are available.

sounds like either your sim card isnt inserted correctly, or the slots arent turned on. sim card slot 2 is the slot closest to the phone, gold chip faces up, sim card slot one is slightly elevetaed off the phone, gold chip faces down. make sure it is inserted all the way down. perss fimly. then go to SETTINGS>DUAL SIM SETTINGS>DUAL SIM OPEN>CLICK OK. This opens up both sim card slots. after you find out which slot you are going to use, you can repeat these steps and only have opened the one you are using.

u have problem in u r sim card only........talk to custmer care...(every cellular company has there own custmer care for trouble shoting) u can coll them...
i cant do any thing man.....
