Model ZISB36DYB (15 years old) Replacing the thermostat which is located on the ceiling of the freezer which is not easy to access. Removed the faulty one, but can't remember exactly where or how to attach the replacement - the original has a clamp which I fitted to the new thermostat. It will not fit on a tube but appears to clamp onto the baffles but where and how? Richard Delier

check to see if the fan running first, if yes than you may be losing freon. if not , try a new fan motor
SOURCE: fitting an integrated fridge freezer!
Hi Gareth. I fitted a door to my Hotpoint hsz2321L today. I used self tapping screws through the brackets into the fridge door sides. Looking at the old fridge that came out showed that this was the method used previously. No seal is broken and so the fridge is working perfectly. I do have an issue re-fitting the door onto the new fridge though. The pivot hinge on my fridge doesnt give enough clearance and so it catches on the unit at the side of it. The old fridge (a Bosch) cad cabinet hinges that would sort of concertina out to give clearence. Anyway, good luck.

Pull the refrig out , and remove the panel at the bottom , on the back . Behind this panel , will be the compressor and condenser " roll " coil , and the condenser fan motor . From your description of the problem , the fan motor in not operating , or the coils are extremely clogged with dust . If the fan motor is not operating , the most likely cause , is the main control board . You can try replacing the motor first , but , the board is most likely the cause . This is the electronic board , behind the 8 " X 10 " panel , behind the refrig also . If you remove the panel , and look at the board closely , You may see a burned part ( resistor ) . However , replacing the burnt part , will not solve the problem . The complete board will need to be replaced .
