SOURCE: Dryer buzzer is SO LOUD - How can I adjust volume/turn off?

Buzzer mounted to back of control panel.

**UNPLUG POWER BEFORE REMOVING CONTROL PANEL OR TOUCHING -ANYTHING-!**

Located on left side of control panel, bolted to back. Small rectangular device with two connections and no associated button or dial.

Remove the panel and disconnect one of the leads. Fold the connector back against its wire, carefully and securely tape the connector with electrical tape so it cannot touch anything. Also tape the connector on the buzzer that you removed the wire from.

Re-assemble the control panel.

As with anything mechanical, hours of frustration trying to take something apart can be avoided by taking a few minutes at the beginning to look closely at how it is assembled.

How do I put my Frigidaire Dryer FEQ1442ES0 into diagnostic mode? It just keeps beeping. Even after I turn it off, it will turn back on and beep randomly.

To put your Frigidaire Dryer FEQ1442ES0 into diagnostic mode, follow these steps:
  1. Hold down the Select and Cancel buttons at the same time for six seconds. After one buzzer sound, the two keys will be released.
  2. Press and hold the Select and Cancel keys for six seconds right away. The display will indicate "r 2" when the buzzer sounds once.
Once you've put your dryer in diagnostic mode, you may run the diagnostic test to find any problems. You can consult your dryer's operating instructions booklet if you require any more help.

I hope this is useful.

Where is buzzer switch located on model crer5700as1

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you want to know where the buzzer switch is located on your Frigidaire dryer, model# CRER5700AS1. If your particular model dryer is equipped to turn off the buzzer, the switch will be located between the temperature knob and the start button, and named "Cycle Signal". If your dryer is not equipped with this feature, then there will not be an extra knob. Hope this is helpful.

Frigidaire Dryer

Looking at the schematic of a Frigidaire laundry center I see the buzzer is directly wired to the timer. The only way to defeat it so that it won't buzz is disconnect one of the wires going to it. You can read the manual without downloading it at appliance junk google drive.
The link is on my DIY Channel explaining how to access the files.

The dryer buzzer keeps going off even when dryer is off

When the dryer stops can you advance the timer a little to turn off buzzer? Or when you open the door does the buzzer stop? I was trying to find a schematic for that model but I have had no luck. Power should come from the timer to the buzzer. If you know how to read a schematic. Unplug the unit and remove the back to the control panel. Check to make sure that all the wires to the timer are on the right connections. You may need an appliance repair service from your area to come out and diagnose it for you.

Want to disable buzzer

Hello Craig McDaniel - The buzzer signal will sound when the cycle ends and briefly every 5 minutes as it is a reminder to remove the load. For this purpose, unfortunately the buzzer signal cannot be disable. Most of this brands laundry centers and microwaves are preset to do this.

Frigidaire GLEH1642FS washer/dryer stacked unit: How do I disconnect the buzzer?

The buzzers (there are two, one for the washer, one for the dryer) are behind the control panel. 6 screws must be removed to access the back of the control panel: 2 for the service panel, the 2 outer screws at the base of the control panel, then the 2 much smaller-sized screws.

The buzzers, in my model, are small, un-buzzer-like-looking little black boxes stamped with the brand name 'Ark-less'.

The buzzer for the dryer is connected to 2 contacts on the back of the dryer timer, the contacts labeled 'H' and 'C'.

Once you've identified the buzzer for the dryer, you should be able to find the one for the washer. It's connected by one white and one grey wire.

You should be able to verify this info using the wiring diagram, which will be located behind the service panel. If I remember correctly, the buzzers were labeled 'signal' on the diagram.

Turn off buzzers

I had the same problem and the buzzer was one of the worst sounds ive heard. But, I found the buzzer and turned it off for good. Open the front panel and look for a small part in between the 2 main curcuit boxes.I have a Fridgidare stackable combo FLEB8200FSO. On mine this small part is number 144547100. Look for two black wires, one goes to H and the other to C. Disconnect both wires and no more buzzer!! Good Luck
