Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

cable box needs connected to the antenna in on the vcr..the setup is ..cable box..vcr combo ..tv ..unless your tv has multiple inputs like ours..most of the new ones require a digital signal..it may reqiure a converter box..
No.Tv can't pick up any reception or receive any free AIR broadcasting tv channels at all if tv have no antena hook up to a tv.Buy a better antena design to used like a Digital atenna, will solved this problems.
Unplugged should not have been an issue.Try this to get to AUX Down Channel select passed 2 shoud be your aux input. If nothing is plugged into the A/V input you will just get a Blue Screen. Also be aware that since the switch to Digital Over the Air Broadcasting there are no more channels, you need to hook up a converter box if your TV does not have a digital tuner,Good Luck.
You need to program the VCR (which turns the sey on/off) as an aux, then program any Panasonic TV type for TV, and then set the STB button to control STB, TV and AUX and you should be set.
