Hi, convergence circuit has failed, the IC`s will have to be changed, possibly a couple of precision support resistors as well and the set will then need to be re-converged, More questions? feel free to ask away, Happy Holidays, BMW Rider

this might be a tube leak check for fluid on the necks of the tubes with your hand. if none you might have a faulty protect chip- common-
forgot the exact location but it's on the main board, it's a 16 pin chip as i remember and it is a quad op amp. if you hold your finger across the pins underside it will turn on and stay on as long as your finger is there, if so replace the chip

The power supply is in protect mode. There is most likely a short on one of the boards, or the high voltage generator, or a scan amplifier, or the power supply itself has a failure. Without troubleshooting the set it is impossible to know.

Likely to be the STK convergence chips causing a protection circuit to cut in and switch the TV off when turned on. Do you hear clicking when you switch on?
