How to Fix Wifi Authentication Error on Android?
1. Turn Aeroplane Mode On-Off
2. Reset The Wi-Fi Connection(Forget Network)
3. Connect to other Wireless Network
4. Change Advanced Wireless Network Setting.
5. Refresh Network Settings
6. Wipe Android Cache partition
7. Update Device software to the latest version

If your WiFi is enabled and you still can't find any connections try disabling and enabling the wifi adapter. Also, you can try uninstalling the adapter and re-installing it. To see how watch this video: https://youtu.be/j2TqlA55KlM

Is the wifi enabled, can you see any wifi networks? If not, make sure wifi is enabled, if there is button on laptop to disable/enable wifi connections, swich wifi on.

Check from control panel -> network (network and sharing center in Vista/Win7) -> change adapter settings. If wireless lan adapter disabled (grayed out).
