I have a samsung s860 and dont have the manual nor the installation disk and i just brought a usb cable to upload pictures from my camera but for some reason when i plug it in to my camera and then my...

You can download the user manual from
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportDownloadCenter.do?prd_ia_cd=N0000337&prd_mdl_cd=EC-S860ZBBA%2FAR&prd_mdl_name=SAMSUNG+S860

You might want to consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I DONT HAVE THE INSTALATION DISK FOR MY VIVITAR 3 IN 1

In a lot of cases, when you fire up your pc with the camera plugged in, the pc will say found new hardware. Just let it run. When it is done, go to my computer and your pc will gain another drive. This drive is youor camera. Use programs on your pc to process pictures.

Hey

in almost any case, you shouldn't need additional software to copy pictures from your camera. If you're using windows XP or newer, just plug in the USB cable and turn on your camera. A new drive letter should appear under your start menu--> "my computer".
probably named "removable disk G:" or maybe a different letter.
double click in there and voila. your pictures are in a folder somwhere in there, in a subfolder.
