When I speak into my Motorola H170 earpiece the person I am talking to cannot hear me. I can hear them fine but my voice is not transmitting out to them. Is there a solution to this problem?
Sounds like you have a problem with your microphone.

there is nothing you can do about the delay as it's the time it takes for the bluetooth to send the signal to your earpiece to tell it the call is answered, the only way to stop any delay is to set your phone to auto answer in the bluetooth headphone settings or in the call settings.

This is how I fixed the same problem on mine. I wear it outdoors all the time and it probably got wet and deteriorated the foam on the mic.

I used this solution and it worked...good luck with yours: http://www.geocities.com/jconkwright/H700fix.html
SOURCE: MOTOROLA H800 WIRELESS HEADSET
I took mine apart to see what the problem was, the two wires that go to the mic had be broken. Probably by the sliding motion of the boom. Gonna try to fix it if i can..don't know, It will probably do the same thing again. Always remember- THE MORE MOVING PARTS TO SOMETHING THE MORE THERE IS THAT CAN GO WRONG!

Try charging it for 24 hours, this should reset the headset. then completely delete the pairing and repair the device. If this doesn't work, there could be a problem with the mic portion of the headset.
