I assume you've tried using a pry bar? If so and that didn't work, then the lid is apparently *frozen* to the bucket. Turn the bucket upside down. spray WD-40 or equivalent solvent around the perimeter of the lid and let it soak until the lid can be removed.

I require a Dehum 3 manual for my T2 Direct Ltd technology dehumidifier. It turns it's self off stating it's full of water but the container is empty.

It thinks bucket is full because switch is tripped or stuck in tripped position.

Take out bucket and inspect plate it sits on. May be stuck or spring not providing enough tension. Increase tension on spring so empty bucket doesn't trip switch.,

AD 25G0 - the light keeps coming on to indicate that it needs to be emptied but there is barely any water in there and when the light is on, it shuts off.

It sounds as if the float valve in the top of the water collection bucket may be stuck in the UP position.
Remove the bucket and check the float valve. If it is stuck in the up position, jiggle the arm of the float valve to get it return to the DOWN position.

When reinstalling the bucket, be sure that it fits "squarely" into it's holder form top to bottom and that it makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Overflow on floor

The problem you're having can be caused by a couple things.

1. The float valve in the top of the water collection bucket is broken or is stuck in the Down position.
Remove the bucket, and inspect the float valve for damage or sticking. If it's stuck in the DOWN
position, jiggle the arm of the float valve, to make it works freely.

2. The water collection bucket is not installed properly and water is leaking out the back of the
top of the bucket. When installing the bucket, be sure it's installed "squarely" into the bucket
holder from top to bottom and making firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the
rear wall of the bucket holder.

I hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Zenith Model ZD300YO 30 pt Dehumidifier Humidity setting panel reads 01/bucket full light flickering on and off- will not run, new unit

Take out bucket. Remove front cover two screws bottom left and right. Just inside lower left is a wiring harness with a clamp. Pry off and clean rust from clamp and tubing it attaches to. (if you put the bucket in and hold sensor between fingers the humidifier will start to work) Reattach clean sensor to clean copper tubing.

Dehumidifer FDD40J6, probably 10 years old, just stopped working. Emptied the bucket and it won't start again despite settings on dials. Electricity is working - take out bucket and light goes on.

The problem lies in the way the bucket is reinstalled or the float valve (if yours is so equipped) is stuck in the UP position.

Remove the bucket for it's holder and check for the float valve. If it is stuck in the up position, jiggle the arm to make it return to the down position. Be fore you reinstall the bucket, look at the back wall of the bucket holder. There you will see a trigger switch. It's the bucket safety removal switch. Check it to make sure it's still intact. At 10 years old it may have broken OFF. If it appears to be be intact, install the bucket "squarely" into the bucket holder from top to bottom. Being sure that it makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch. When installed correctly, the bottom of the bucket will not tilt down at all.

Also, check the air intake filter as it may be dirty of clogged.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

The unit fills but does not stop when full. It keeps running so water is spilling all over.

More than likely, the float valve in the water collection bucket is stuck in the DOWN position. There for the automatic shut off does recognize that the bucket is full. Remove the bucket and check the float valve in the top of the bucket. If it's stuck in the down position, jiggle the arm to get to return to the UP position. Be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it before doing the above.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem and thanks for choosing FixYa.

It says it is full and there is no water in there and it will not run because it thinks it is full]

Usually when this occurs, the unit "thinks it's full', because either the water collection bucket is not installed properly or the float valve (if you model has one) in the top of the bucket, is stuck in the "UP' position.

Turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Remove the water collection bucket and check for the float valve. If it's stuck in the UP position, jiggle the handle to make it return to the DOWN position. Then reinstall the bucket, being sure that it fits into it's holder "squarely" from top to bottom and is making firm contact with the Bucket Safety Removal Switch on the rear wall of the bucket holder. If installed properly, the bottom of the bucket should not tilt down at all. Plug the unit in and turn it ON. If everything was done correctly, the Full Bucket Light should not illuminate.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My dehumidifier full light is on but the unit is empty and the fan motor won't work. Is there a way to reset it? Is that why the fan motor won't work?

This is generally causes by improperly installing the water collection bucket after removing it to empty it. Or the float valve in the top ow the water bucket s stuck in the "UP" position. Some Maytag models have a float control that moves from left to right, depending on how much water you want it to collect, before having to empty it. It may be stuck in the center position and needs to be moved left or right.

When installing the bucket, be sure that it fits into the holder "squarely" from top to bottom and makes contact with the bucket removal safety switch at the back of the bucket holder. When installed properly, the bucket should not tilt down at the bottom.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

The drawer is empty of water but the signal says 'full'. Is there a broken part? Thank you, Eileen

No, probably not. Either the float valve in the top of the bucket (drawer) is stuck in the 'UP' position or the bucket wasn't installed properly.

For the stuck float valve. Remove the bucket and look in the right or left corner of the bucket for the float valve. If it's stuck in the 'UP' position, jiggle the handle to make it return to the 'DOWN' position.

When reinstalling the bucket into it's holder (whether it had a float valve or not), be sure that it fits "squarely" from top to bottom into the holder. It should not tilt down at the bottom. The bucket must make firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch inside the holder.

Hope this helps you to troubles shoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
