Even on the permanent press cycle the clothes are coming out very wrinkled.

Here are some common solutions to help resolve the issue with your appliance:
If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system.
Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle:
This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

I only know of one or two things that might help.
One make sure there is not too many clothes in the dryer.
Two, if you have a setting for permanet press use this.
Good luck.

make sure the vent system is clean. any restrictions can cause the safety switches to activate and turn off heaters. When it cools, the switch resets and starts heating. Unit will continue to cycle the heat off and on. Make sure all elements are working.
Start there.

If the drum is overloaded, the clothing can be wrinkled, due to improper tumbling. This will also prevent the clothing from washing and rinsing properly, which causes wrinkling as well. When moving clothing to the dryer, shake them well to help reduce wrinkles.
NOTE: For combo model washers, when washing a large single item like a sheet, it is recommeded to remove and reload that item before the dry cycle begins.
Check that the inlet hoses were not accidentally reversed during installation. If the hoses were, turn off the water valves and reconnect the inlet hoses correctly. If the hoses are reversed, the rinse temperature will be hot and set the wrinkles in the clothes. It can happen!
Do not let clothing rest too long before removing them to dry. Some wrinkles are caused due to high spin speeds as the items are forced against the drum. However, allowing the clothes to sit in machine for extended periods after cycle is complete causes wrinkles to set in. Shake clothing well after removal from unit.
Also If too much softener is used, it will leave residue in the clothing that will weigh them down and cause wrinkles. Dilute thick fabric softener 50:50 with water so that it dispenses properly.
