MINOX DSC flash not working

From the manual (which you could have consulted yourself, I would have thought) :

Charging the battery in the flash module (DSC Flash). Use the provided power supply cable (mini jack to USB) to connect the flash to the USB port of your switched-on computer. Charging commences automatically.
To charge the battery of the flash module without the computer you can use an optionally available power adapter.
A green LED lights up while the internal battery is charging. Charging is complete when the green light goes out.

Flash is turned off. How to turn it back on

Set the record/review selector to one of the record modes and the exposure mode dial to the desired function.
By repeatedly pressing the flash mode button you can set the various function types. They scroll through in an endless loop.
The corresponding symbols appear in the data field and the monitor.

The above is from the "Taking photographs with the built-in flash unit" section of the manual (page 131 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one here.

How to set the timer on the nikon D 90 digital camera

Press and hold the release mode button on the top of the camera (marked with overlapping rectangles), then turn the main command dial (on the back) until the self-timer symbol (one-handed clock) appears on the command panel.

Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.

To turn off the self-timer, repeat the above process to get back to single-frame, continuous low or continuous high mode.

No picture thru viewfinder or monitor

Okay, I have found the solution (along with Megant, it appears.) It is definitely a dead sensor issue. I contacted Leica via email ([email protected]) and received a response from JoAnn Scott, a Leica customer service manager ([email protected]) stating that the sensor issue is a common one and is covered under an extended warranty. I shipped my Digilux 2 to this address:
Leica Camera Inc. / Customer Service Manager
Re: Dead Sensor Repair
1 Pearl Court, Unit A / Allendale, NJ 07401 / USA

and within 2 weeks received a repair ticket from Leica, identifying the issue and indicating a zero balance for the repair. A follow up with JoAnn revealed that the turnaround time on the repair would be 4 to 6 weeks. The most expensive part of this whole deal was the 18 dollars I spent insuring the camera when I sent it back via the USPS.

Hope this helps.
