Our humidifier is not putting out water. I don't see a way to remove the air filter to clean it. I'm guessing the condenser is shot? Due to it's age (5 years old), do you think we should toss it and start over? If so, do you have a better brand to recommend?

If when you turn your dehumidifier on the compressor runs then you should get moisture. Dehumidifiers work on the same principal as refrigeration. There is a bad control switch or the compressor start relay or capacitor is defective. If compressor runs and there is no effect then that is another problem. The filter should come out the front where the air goes in front and the filter should be washed by hand in warm degrease detergent water, dry and replace. If the disposable type filter I will help you contact LG.Thanks, Sea Breeze

Your unit has a sealed system leak. The sealed system is warrantied for five years. Check your owners manual for this info. You will need your receipt and to call an authorized LG warranty dealer to exchange it.
