To reset it to factory settings, you have to enter its service mode option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Remote control select buttons not working

First replace the batteries in the transmitter. If that doesn't work you may need either the transmitter, or the IR PCB & possibly the MAIN PCB(this is the IR board & MAIN inside the TV for which you will need the TV model#)

Aquos 42 won't turn on

Try unpluging it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. This is how some electronics are reset.

Try the main resets in the back by the a/v in and out jacks. If this does not work, call Sharp Customer Service and tell them that you already did the resets. There is a known problem with a heat dissipation pad for the onboard speakers and they will send a repair tech to replace the pad for free, even if you are out of warranty. At least that was the case with my LC-32D6U.

My sharp aquos 32' LCD has a heavy green tint to it. I tried reseting the settings back to factory settings, but it didn't help.

My sharp tv also had a green tint and resetting to facotry setting did not work, what finally worked is making sure that all cables were inserted all the way into the tv and receiver. Someone else advised this for another Tv and it worked on my sharp so it is worth a try.
