Unfortunately, Generac does not provide wiring diagrams for their products. You will need to contact a local Generac dealer or service center for assistance.
Output voltage is based on 3600 rpm @ 60Hz. Sounds like your generator is over speeding slightly. Put a Frequency meter on the output of the generator and tune it to 61.5 Hz, that will get your generator in the 3600 RPM range.
sounds like the regulater or (rectifer) is over charging the battery check your voltage why it is running at full speed it should be charging around 13 to 14 volts GOOD LUCK
probably your AVR card is burnt...
an AVR card is located right outside the stator...looks just like an AK-47 clip (i don't know how else to describe it)...i put a pic below this.
replace it and check again
