When iclose the lid and turn on the camera code c31 23 appears

Sony says that reload the cassette. If problem still exist, contact nearest Sony repair shop. Its basically "Supply Reel Signal/ Function Error".

try slapping it at the side of the tape and than maybe push the reset button, it must solve your problem, its probably the little lever inside that tells the camera that there is a tape inside

Please note that there are guide posts that are not supposed to be straight. At this point, the C31 message indicates that motor or gear that is not turning as it should. This unit should be seen by a service center for a re-alignment and timing check.
