If you have a specific zoom lens on and it will take shots in MF manual focus but wont in AF auto focus you could have a broken ribbon connector in the lens. Try with another zoom lens if you get the same problem it could be the camera. If it works OK then the ribbon in the affected lens may need replacing.

SOURCE: Trouble downloading

Are you connected to the PC? If so it is processing the download, thus it is busy working.

SOURCE: my canon t1i rebel does not take pictures and says its busy?? wha

In the manual mode, you have to set the focus (distance to subject), aperture and shutter speed. Did you set all of them before you shot the picture?

SOURCE: Cannot use the screen to view on Canon Rebel T1i

I wish you know that you need to press LIVEVIEW button marked red Dot to enter live view mode.
Further more it will work in P,T,A,M modes and video camera modes only.Still it does not show live view the camera has a fault.
If this has solved it don't forget to rate me.

SOURCE: Canon EOS Rebel T1i won't take a picture when I zoom

Which mode are you on? When you zoom in, the maximum aperture size decreases to f/5.6 in the kit lens. Sometimes it may be too dark or shutter speed too slow so the camera doesn't shoot. If you're in "P" (program) mode, full auto mode or any of the Basic Modes, the aperture/shutter is auto. In other modes (Av, M, etc) you can turn the dial on the top of the camera to adjust shutter speed to a lower number.

My camera does not take pictures when on af focus. what should i do?

The first thing you should do is test another lens on your camera. If the other lens doesn't focus then there is a problem with your camera body. "If the other lens DOES focus, then it's a problem with your lens. In both cases your camera or lens will need to be repaired

My rebel t1i eos 500 built in flash won't pop up

Hi, I have to Canon Rebel t1i and I had the same problem (built in flash not working). I tried a number of remedies I found on forums etc but none worked. I then tried this. In the external flash housing is a metal sprung plate which surrounds the five circular pins (one big, four small at the rear). If you get a small straight headed screwdriver and lift the front of this plate and at the same time pull it back towards you it will come out altogether.
I then removed the four small screws being careful not to drop them and took off the mount for the external flash and then tried the flash it opened straight away. I then cleaned all the area of the mount and the two plates and replaced them all ensuring I fitted them exactly as before. I then checked the camera again and presto working fine. I hope this helps everyone with the problem.

What does "BUSY" mean on my Canon Rebel T1i, while I'm trying to upload pictures onto my computer?

It means that the transfer is in process. It's letting you know that you shouldn't turn off your camera - it is busy!

Does the camera have an internal memory?

The 500D doesn't have any internal memory for picture taking. It won't store any pictures unless you insert an SD card in the slot just above the battery on the right side of the camera (when you are looking at the screen)

AF not working

The first thing to do is make sure that the lens you purchased supports AF. If not that is the issue. If you have a lens that does support it then make sure in your camera settings you are either set on AI Servo or AI focus
