the orange power light is your warning that your power supply is going bad. I'd replace the power supply with the same size or larger (preferred)

if the system has no redundant power supply.
basically you will need to replace it with the same make and model from Dell or a working 2nd hand model.

Press del. or f8 to boot to Bios there should be an option for you to remove power saving mode. If none then you probably need to update the bios be careful when updating bioses.

That is because while a computer is in sleep mode, it is still using power to keep the memory. The battery is only used when the computer is turned off. You should replace the battery as soon as you can in order to keep your computer running properly.

When you get the resume failure message, push and hold the power button until the unit turns itself off (usually around 5 seconds). Once it is turned off, press the power button again to turn it on and it should boot right into windows for you.

remove power supplay
remove battery
press and hold power button for 1 min
release button
plug the power supplay
turn on laptop without battery
