Why is it not charging?

1 Battery no longer holds a charge
2 Charger is faulty
33 Charger circuit does not function

This is assuming the mains socket works ok

Try a different charger, if that does not do the trick you know it is either batteries or charging circuit. Then change batteries, if that does not work you know it is a charging circuit fault

My RCA tablet won't turn on and will not charge, what can I do?

If battery is depleted, then no, it will not turn on.

If battery charger is dead, phone won't charge or turn on.
If battery charger cable is broken, tablet won't charge or turn on.

You need to ensure you have a good working charger, and a good cable. Only a known good charger and a known good cable can charge the unit. Borrow or invest in a new charger and cable (they're cheap on eBay).

Only once you know the charger and cable are good can you determine that they are not the problem.

Depending on how old the unit is, it's possible the battery can no longer hold a charge and needs to be replaced. You won't know that though until you first determine the charger and cable you're using are working properly and providing a good charge.

My tablet was in use, needed charging, it shut off. Now it won't charge or come on

It sounds like there's a problem with the charger. The wire on the charger is rather delicate. So is the port on your tablet where the wire plugs in. There may be a break inside the wire. If you dropped your tablet while the wire was plugged in and it hit the floor on the charger plug, the charger plug could have damaged the charging port in the tablet or the wire itself could be damaged.
Find someone else who has the same tablet and ask to switch chargers to see if either of them still work on the other tablet. If your friend's charger starts charging your tablet without a problem, then the problem is a a broken wire in your charger. If neither charger will charge your tablet but both chargers charge your friends tablet without a problem, then the problem is with the charging port on your tablet.

NOTHING BUT A BATTERY AND RCA TABLET COMES ON WITH CHARGER BUT SHOWS NOTHING BUT A BATTERY ON SCREEN RCA 7 INCH TABLET

With the charger hooked up and plugged in the tablet will only show the battery on the screen briefly to let you know it's charging. It won't actually boot up until it has a sufficient charge. Just let it set that way for a couple of hours then try to power up.

How can I make my tablet charge when it doesn't charge with its charger

Hi
I don't know what connectors you have on your tablet, but often there is a micro USB socket for connecting a lead from there to a standard USB socket on a computer. Some devices can also charge through this connection, so this is worth a try.
You may also try replacing the charger with a new one, in case yours has become faulty (you could check for a voltage at the plug for the tablet when the charger is plugged in by using a suitable multimeter on the right setting. Absence of voltage here would confirm a faulty charger.)
Otherwise, if the charger is OK and all the connections are firm and good, it may be necessary to replace the battery as rechargeable batteries do have a finite life.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

The charger for my MID M729 tablet will not stay port

Try setting the wire up in a certain way like bending it or but a bottle cap under the wire and then put like a book on top of the wire after the bottle cap.

RCA tablet wont charge

Possible charger damage.
If you know someone with a charger you could use, you should first plug their charger into your unit to see if it works, if not, plug your charger into their unit.
If your unit will not charge with new charger, you may have serious damage, if the other will not charge with your charger, your charger is broken.

Motorola xoom wont charge

this is very common/same problem lots people having with their tablets, but i recently found solution for it.... try the following.
first connect ur charger to the table as you normally would do for charging, then connect the tablet to the computer through the USB wire (make sure charger and usb wire both must connected to the tablet) and it should start charging.... this seem awkward but will 100% work try it and see it urself
