RCA L32HD31R/Dish Network Remote Code Problem

I just bought a RCA L32HD31R TV and hooked it up to my Dish Network and I can not find a remote code to match for this tv.
Can some one please help me... I have tried all the remote codes in the book and I have searched the scan option on the remote as well. Thanks

The word from RCA technical support is that the remote for the L32HD31R operates on a different frequency and there is currently NO universal remote on the market that will work with the set. They say that they have plans to market a universal remote and that they are working with other manufactuers of remotes but there is no resolution or time frame available. In short, you will have to use two remotes and keep checking the RCA website for a breakthrough.

I'm not sure that I would have bought the TV if I'd known.

The Phillips Universal Remote SRU4208WM/17 (available at Wal-Mart for around $16.00) will work with the RCA L32HD31R if you program it using the learning mode.

Go buy a learnng remote. you should be able to program it to accept the IR signals from the TV and cable box.

I have the same TV model and problems with Dish Network. The Dish tech. support person advised me that if I tried all of the RCA codes and the remote is not programmed then that TV is not supported currently by Dish.

Hello!!! I hope that you have gotten that code, but if not, here are some codes and steps to try!!!!


1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

I have an RCA tv and I can't find a code that will work with my dish 5.3 remote. in addition I even tried to do the ir programing and can't get it to work. Can this remote be used with RCA?
Here are some steps and codes for your tv and DISH Network. I hope this helps.

Just purchased RCA HD Tv. What is the RCA code

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Network remote to control your RCA TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your RCA TV here are some of the codes we currently have: 503, 627, 633, 725, and 505. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your RCA TV until you find one that is compatible with it.

Remote Problem
Remote codes are programmed into the remote at time of and since the TV was manufactured after the remote it will be unable to have the code as TV manufacturers change codes often. You can try having a 20 or 21 remote sent to you but ensure it will work with your receiver. These remotes are programmable and ar able to learn functions of other remotes. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Comcast Remote Codes for a RCA L32HD31R LCD TV Also Panasonic
Hi Attychase,

Comcast actually has several different remotes for their different set-top boxes and the remote codes aren't always the same. They list all of their current remote devices on the following page. If you click on view manual it will give you a list of remote codes.

Need code to progam remote . I have a RCA TV Model L32HD31R that needs to program to cable vision remote
The Model L32HD31R, according to RCA, is not "code compatible". It cannot work with a universal remote, or cable/satellite remote. this is peculiar for a company like RCA, however I just bought the same model from Wal*Mart, and companies build models for certain stores. This one was built on the cheap, and one of the things left out of the mix was the "code compatibility".
