SOURCE: Battery fully charged chair levers engaged to

Has your scooter been sitting idle for several weeks, or has it been connected to the charger 24 hours a days for a long time? If so, the batteries may have become damaged and will give you enough power to turn the controller on but not enough to make the motors run.
If the lights come on and are steady, the manual brake levers are in the drive position and the chair still will not move, I recommend replacing the batteries. If anything else were wrong, either the lights would flash or not come on at all.
I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

Pride jazzy elite he power chair. I can't figure out how to put it in drive. It'll go in neutral. But when I switch the levers to r the lights just run a sequence on joystick then cuts off.

make sure the charger is disconnected from the chair. turn the power on, then push the horn button twice in row, within ten seconds of starting the Joystick. This will reset the lockout. Push on the chair to see if both motors are in the parked position, if one side moves then that side is not locked. both sides need to be locked in order for the chair to run. Strege Mobility

I assume you have deep cycle Gel or AGM batteries. Looks like you did not break in your batteries properly. It takes 5-6 full charges to get them up to 100%. Many experts say that you should never unplug your power chair and to always store it disconnected with a full charge, in a warm place.

Seems like no power is coming form the battery. Even after much charging

You may have a battery with a dead cell which is keeping your chair from charging right.

If you have a load tester on hand ,load test both battery's they should show the same
if they dont show the same this tells you the one that fell to a lower reading is your dead cell battery make sure when you do change out the battery's you change both.

Good luck hope I was helpful

If we are out and the batteries die, can the drive be disconnected so we can maual push the chair home?

Yes. Put the chair in neutral by displacing the levers attached to the motors, and push it slowly to where it needs to go. NEVER push it with a vehicle as the computer onboard will sense an overspeed in neutral condition, even if the chair is off, and start braking, then emergency braking. Push at a normal walk pace.

I just bought a jet3 ultra and it looks new, but battery is dead. How long should I let it charge up? I have the power cord. Do you have it sit in it to make it go? How do I get it to go?

If the battery is dead I would have the batteries load tested. Let it charge 12-14 hours. To operate the chair push the power button and push the joystick in the direction that you want to go.

The battery is charged but the lights just flash and chair doesn't move

Make sure the charger is unplugged from the chair and that the chair is in gear. There's two levers that place the chair in freewheel, or neutral so you can roll it around. Place these in neutral, then back in gear firmly. If still flashing, turn chair off, wait three seconds and turn back on, then push on the horn button three times. This will take it out of sleep mode. Still not going, you will need to check all clip-on connections to make sure they are tight.

I am assuming that all of the lights are flashing constantly. If it flashes a "fault code", you will get a series of flashes from 1 to 10, then a pause, then a set of flashes. Count the number of flashes and it will tell you what the fault is for that number of flashes in the owners manual. If it is just two red lights flashing constantly, you have a set of dead batteries.

Good luck.
