Probably isn't thermostat problem. More likely heating element has failed. Usually in lower back of dryer. I usually consult http://www.repairclinic.com/ when I encounter such issues.
Check the coils on valve or the igniter. Access both thru Access panel on lower right of front panel. Set heated dry cycle & start, igniter should glow bright followed by a "Click" sound, which is valve opening. If it glows and no click, replace the valve coils (2 donut looking objects on top of valve). If no glow, replace igniter, usually just unplug to remove, carefully, they are ceramic and break easy.

Probably the element. This is a wondermous dryer. The element is on the left rear wall. The limit mounts on the element making it easy to diagnose heating problems. Pop the lower front panel off by removing the screws at the base. Unplug the machine and carry it outside so you can blow it out. AMANA DRYER REPAIR MANUAL
Thre is no pilot light. This dryer uses an ignitor (glow bar or coil).
Open the lower front "door" (small access door) and turn on dryer.
If the ignitor does not glow (bright orange), then the ignitor needs to be replaced ($60).
If it does glow, then the gas valve needs replacement ($60).
If it isd the valve, the internal spring is stuck. Do not try to repair it, you must replace it.
check the igniter, thermal fuse, operating themastat there is a small plastic piece on the lower left hand corner pop that out and when you turn your dryer on it should be glowing red if not its the igniter
