Pioneer AVH-P6000 does not save settings/clock when turning off

Hi All,

I just got a car audio shop to install a Pionner AVH-P6000, however everytime i turn it off and get back in the car the deck has lost the time and all the settings i have input. Deck is brand new and installing it in a Commodore 05 VZ Exec. Any ideas?

Take it back to the shop and tell them to try again. What they have done is there are two power sources on stereos one come on when you start the car and operates all the stereos functions. The other is a power source that is always on is hardly draws anything so as to not wear down your battery but this power maintains the memory on the deck. they have either not installed this to a constant power or forgotten to hook it up at all. demand a re-imbursment for your troubles.hope this helps

CONNECT A SWITHC TO THE PARKING BRAKE WIRE ONE OF THE PINS FROM THE SWITCH TO GROUND AND THE OTHER SIDE TO THE PARKING BRAKE WIRE.

Can't set the clock on my pioneer deh-6000 car stereo

this is loads of fun....with the unit OFF, press and hold the FUNC button until the time and date appear on the display (one of the units on time or date will be blinking. Use the up/down/right/left control to change numbers and position....when satisfied with date and time, turn unit ON and your good to go.

CLOCK SETTING
1)TURN CAR IGINITION "ON"
2)TURN STEREO "OFF"
3)PRESS "AUDIO" AND HOLD TILL CLOCK APPEARS IN DISPLAY
4)SET CLOCK BY PRESSING UP,DOWN & LEFT, RIGHT KEYS SITUATED NEAR SRC/AUDIO SWITCH.
5)TURN THE STEREO "OFF" AND "ON" AGAIN TO SAVE THE CLOCK SETTINGS .
6)SELECT THE "CLK " SWITCH TO ALWAYS DISPLAY CLOCK WHENEVER U ARE NOT LISTENING TO MUSIC.
