SOURCE: blades fell off oster dog clippers but can't fit

With the hinge of the clipper facing you:
Make sure hinge is open, if it is not, prize it open with a flat head screwdriver.
Slide the blade on with the blade siz/number faceing you.
Snap shut.
If this fails, try again, but push the latch in as you snap them shut.
If this fails, you may need repair!

With most clippers, after an amount of use they need to be cleaned then oiled. Most sets come with some amount of oil for your clippers. Otherwise you can purchase it separately. This should fix the problem.

Instructions on how to clip my dogs hair.
  • Set the dog hair clippers to the 9-10 setting. Use this setting to clip your dog's undercarriage. Undercarriage refers to your dog's armpits, **** area up to the tail, and stomach.
  • Set the clippers to the 7-8 setting. Clip your dog's legs and paws with this setting.
  • Use a comb to pull your dog's hair away from the eye and muzzle area. Set the clippers back to the 9-10 setting and clip all around his face, ears and head.
  • Rinse your dog with clean water or give him a shampoo to remove all of the excess hair you clipped off. Blow drying him may be necessary if it's during the colder months of the year.

    A5 dog clipper or blades may need tune up or
    some times the link and gear inside the front part of the clipper wears out and the blades just wont cut. try this, remove the clipper blade on the front of the clipper their is a lever color red grab this part with your 2 fingers and move it side to side if it moves and feel sloppy your gears and link are worn out. you need to replace, also check the hinge for spring tension. if you need help Contact [email protected]

    Andis pm-3 dog clipper won't cut anymore!
    I have had this same problem!  I bought new blades, sharpened old ones, and nothing worked.  Finally, I went to an authorized service center and they couldn't figure it out.  Then the tech. pressed on the blade (the outside bottom one) and it cut!  When you remove the blades with the 2 big screws, there are 2 more smaller screws inside under the smaller blade.  One of those was not screwed in tightly.  That was all it was!  I guess they jiggle loose.  I hope this helps!
