Try replacing remote battieries then unplug tv before doing that put batteries back in and plug tv in see if remote turn on if no check see if remote buttons stuck if ok try reset
Check the Batteries inside of the remote control for your TV to see if they needs to be replaced and put new batteries inside of the TV remote and see if it will work after having new batteries. If the remote is still not working with new batteries then the remote is broken and needs to be replaced with a new remote from your TV company. The TV name of brand should have an official company website and you could try and take a look for replacement remotes.
Low battery power can cause the remote to not work correctly or not work at all. Lift the back cover up and away from the remote. Remove and re-insert the 2 batteries. Replace the back cover on the remote, and slide down to click it back into place.
Pour a little bit of rubbing alcohol onto a piece of cotton and very gently clean the main board. You will be surprised to see how much dirt is built up on the main board. Now take all the other parts or pieces of your remote control and give them a good gentle wash using a tiny bit of mild soap. Wash all the plastics and also the rubber keypad.

My classroom TV seems to be stuck in standby mode. Blue light is on but TV won't turn on either by push button or remote.
SOURCE: Olevia LT23 23in. LCD/TV
I had the same prob, but found out that the problem with the Olevia lcd tv's on most models not powering up is because of failure of capacitors on the power supply board that I do believe is due to excessive heat and lack of ventilation.
I took the tv apart and got access to the main board and just by looking at the capacitors I could tell which one were the bad ones..
I will show some pics that I borrowed during my repair, hope it helps as reference as it did to me.
I replaced the bad caps with new ones that I bought at a computer parts store.
Now I got my lcd tv back ON but this time I added a internal cooling fan for better air flow that will reduce this malfunction from happening again.
Hope this helps.
