SharpAr5516 copier my sharp copier ar5516 is plashing E240.how do i reset the code?or what might be the problem?

Sorry bubbabear 64, you are wrong you need to reset the copier with sim 14, once you have cleared the jam, there is no sensor in the fuser so often if the paper gets crumpled in there is doesnt trigger and sensors so the customer trys to copy again and again, seen it many times.

First you need to know the key operator code, you can display it by pressing [C][INTERUPT] [0/ZERO][INTERUPT][22][START][13][START] then the display will shows you the 5 digits key operator. After you know the key operator code, you can go to User program, this is done by pressing [C][INTERUPT] [C] then input the key operator code, when entry is complete "P" will appear in the quantity display. Input 19 then START, input the new code and press START. To exit user program press CA

how input code(# interrupt C interrupt)

Try this. On the panel. Press # * C *. Your screen will change to a diagnostic mode.
Enter the number 14 , as if you were going to make 14 copies.
You may have to enter 1 , then press start. But follow the display directions.
The 14 will clear F codes. This should resolve your problem.
