Could type in the letters/words with no problem and never had any problems before with the machine.

I think you have to rehoop the fabric. Especially if the letters are large. Hope you have a clothsetter - it makes it so much easier. Hope this helps.

It sounds like the screen is still getting power there are a few things that might cause display problems. Referencing the troubleshooting section from the manual the only display issue listed is "Visual touchscreen is not clear" The fix is to adjust the display by turning the Visual Touchscreen Sharpness Adjustment Knob. You can find the location on page 2 of the manual, located online at:

If this does not resolve or help the issue there could be a lose connection inside the machine or the screen may have failed. If you do not feel comfortable tinkering inside your machine you may want to take it somewhere to have them work on it.

i maybe too last with my suggestion, but when you embroidered on T-shirts alwayts use a iron on strablize. If the T-shirt is very thin second layer will help the needle from putting holesin the fabric. If you dont have enough spoace left the mnavhine will not sew.In which case the fonts wil need to be smaller or you can rotate the in a landscape position for more space ,when
