Maytag epic z wont start - Maytag EPIC MFW9700S Front Load Washer

Maytag dryer. has no start check door switch. if not door switch then its your relay board that may be bad also check all stats.
there will be 2 at blower cage and 2 on heater assembly
The 2 on blower cage one of these are a resister stat has to be exact resistance or dryer wont start or will start and then shut off dryer b4 it is completed drying hope this helps there should be a cheat sheet paper work that will help you diagnose your problem fallow the steps if not with dryer can be viewed online

Any luck? the certified Maytag repair company looked at mine and quoted $445. for the repair. it is 15 months old so of course the warranty is obsolete. The solution is a new CCU panel and Temperature sensor. Good luck.

The WAX MOTOR locking mechanism has failed.
A new WAX MOTOR will have to be installed.

Unplug or disconnect power to the machine and access the electronic control board. Remove the screws in the back of the top panel, then lift the back of the top panel and slide back to remove.

The electronic control board is located on the left side near the top. It's very common for that part to fail. Look on the back side for a burned or scorched mark near the relays.

Measure the resistance between P1-3 and P1-4. If the resistance is between 1-6 ohms, replace the control board. If not check the belt switch for continuity.

Check the motor windings at the motor switch. Disconnect the motor connector. Measure the run/main windings between the blue wire in back and the white/orange wire (2.4-3.6 Ohms). Measure the start windings between the blue wire in back and the Violette wire (2.4-3.8 Ohms).

Lift the idler pulley up and measure between the two blue wires to check the belt switch.

my epic will start & wash & then gets F 20 & won't drain until I hit start again

did you try to unplug the unit for 30 minutes

Have you tried unplugging the machine, or turning off the breaker if the plug is hard to reach, for 24 hours. The computer may have to reset itself.

the control board has loose solder connections around the relays.

being it is in warranty its too early for you to fix it yourself.
you will have to wait for them to come out and say the parts are on backorder.
