SOURCE: what does F7 mean on a whirlpool 6th sense washing
Hi,
F7 in whirlpools means "Clean the filter”.
The following troubleshooting steps would help fix it. Remove the filter on the floor of the machine, including the metal grill. Press & hold the start button (like you do when you want to cancel a program this will drain the water out of your clogged up drain outlet. Clean your filter and grill and replace it. My guess is that the sensor in the drain (a little glass tube) measures whether the water going out is clean enough to decide that your dishes are now rinsed correctly. If your filters clogged, the water going down the drain is still dirty. After a while it gets sick of trying and stops the machine.

SOURCE: whirlpool 6th sense front load washing machine
I have the same problem. Stops randomly during the cycle and turning off the power for a second re-starts it.
I think it is one of the sensors is faulty - for example the sensor that detects if the load is un-balanced, or if the machine has enough water.
Seems to be a common poblem for these machines.
I'm going to try to find which one later today.
